While visiting some friends near Seattle we came across this marvelous little place called the AFK Tavern. A place to have a drink, eat some food and play some games with friends. I drooled and vowed that one way or another I would see Board Now grow to accompany AFK as a cool destination location for gamers and geeks.
What I didn’t realize, was how close we already were. By choosing to co-reside with Cannon Mine Coffee we are already in a space to do it. They sell local micro-brews, coffee, yummy Breggos and locally made burritos along with an assortment of snacks & sodas. Everything is already in place. So we started gathering more people for some evenings of Beer and Board games, Drinks & Dominion, Snacks & Scrabble, Catan and Coffee, and any other alliterated combination that I can dream up.

My wife and I make a habit out of stopping at a coffee shop and playing a few games; it’s a great atmosphere. How about Donus and Dvonn?
We went last night with the kids and had a blast! It was a very welcoming atmosphere (and I got to show Tim a new game, even!)
